    Hotel Crocini Florence Italy

Hotel Crocini is based in a quiet residential area. 19th-century building is surrounded by a private picturesque garden. The street has little traffic. Part of it is blocked to restrict access to the American Embassy. It is a block from the Arno River and beautiful extensive parks. It’s a little way away from the city center however still within easy reach. Uffizi Gallery and Pitti Palace is about a fifteen minute-walk. Maybe twenty depending on how fast you walk. But that shouldn’t be a problem. This is the reason why you travel. To get to know the city. Transportation choices are limited, but easily accessible.

Front desk is very friendly and welcoming. They will give you a map and brief introduction to Florence. Gabriel is a delight. She will give you a ton of helpful information. The rest of the staff is polite and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble. All of them speak English very well. Lorenzo, the owner is a wealth of knowledge. Will talk to you for hours if you let him. Don’t hesitate to ask him anything about Florence. His advice and restaurant suggestions are superb.

Hotel Crocini houses twenty rooms. The entrance, halls and dining areas have a splendid grandeur about them. They offer several different sizes. Rooms and bathrooms are well equipped. Soap and shampoo provided. All rooms are clean and well kept. Some do not come with a private bathroom. Marble floors throughout the hotel make it nice and cool in the rooms.

Breakfast buffet is included in the price. It is bountiful and very presentable. It includes scrambled eggs, meat and cheese. They also offer yogurt and fresh fruit. They have cereal, pastries, juice, tea and coffee. The breakfast room is spacious. Comfortable seating. There is a silent video presentation of Florence along with soft  music playing during breakfast.

Wi-Fi works well and is complimentary. Two laptops and a printer is available for guests to use in the lobby.

Hotel Crocini has an outdoor patio. It is a pleasant place to have drinks in the evening.

Hotel Crocini is an excellent choice. It has extremely attractive rates. Not a hotel for the luxury traveler. Should be apparent from the prices. Request a courtyard room with a balcony. Don’t forget to ask for a room with a private restroom. They have on site parking for hotel guests. Overall the hotel is a good value. A terrific stay while you are on holiday.[/tab]

NH Porta Rossa is situated on a quiet street located in the pedestrian zone of Florence. It is located in the heart of the city just off the Piazza della Signoria Florence. It is very close to the Duomo and it is within walking distance of all the historical places the city has to offer. It also has numerous restaurants and boutiques you can visit.

The building itself is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and stylish. It’s filled with antique furniture and has some amazing ceiling frescoes that had been recently restored, adding to the historical feeling of the NH Porta Rossa hotel. It features refined decorations, where white marble and natural wood tones blend with warm textile colors.

The front desk is very kind and willing to assist. They are very efficient and speak good English. They provide restaurant recommendations for dinner and do a terrific job to suggest places to visit. The entire staff working in this four star hotel is so incredibly accommodating, helpful, and fast.

It is obvious they have quite a variety of room types. The amenities are very modern. They have comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom. The bathroom is completely luxurious with many complementary toiletry items, robes and even a towel warmer. They offer complimentary Wi-Fi that is relatively fast.

Breakfast is plentiful and included in most room rates. The breakfast is delicious and fresh. Great choices of everything: pastries/bread, ham/cheese, fruits, juices and freshly made cappuccino and coffee.

Request a room on a higher floor, as there is some noise from the street. Some rooms that face the inner courtyard will be quieter. Overall, it’s a good hotel with a fantastic location. Would recommend NH Porta Rossa to anyone on holiday in Florence.

If you need to park your vehicle, there’s a parking garage located right behind NH Porta Rossa. It’s located on via delle Terme. It’s a bit expensive, however it’s the perfect spot for parking in the historical center area.[/tab]

Prices are very reasonable. Some rooms don’t offer a view. If you can afford an upgrade, request for a room with a view, it’s spectacular. The rooms facing away from the river are much quieter at night, however they don’t have the view. I just want to inform you on one thing I found a bit odd.
