Hotel Ambasciatori is situated in the heart of the beautiful, bustling city of Florence. The location is terrific. If you are traveling by train this might be the perfect spot for you. It is conveniently located across from the Santa Maria Novella train station. It is close to everything you want to see. The Santa Maria Novella Church is just a five minute-walk. Major cultural points of interest like Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio and the Duomo are all within walking distance. All off the major shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. You will be able to pop in during the day for a little rest in between site seeing.
When you walk in you will be greeted by the hospitable staff working at the reception desk. They are all very nice, chatty and helpful. They speak fluent English. They will gladly make reservations to restaurants and museums upon request. The rest of the staff working at Hotel Ambasciatori are also very helpful and accommodating.
Hotel Ambasciatori has a contemporary and modern looking style. The rooms are of various size. You will find they are all very clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are also clean and modern. They do not provide coffee or tea-making makers to any rooms other than the expensive suites. Wi-Fi is available in all areas and is free of charge.
Breakfast buffet is included in most room rates. You will find it very consistent with lots of types of food. Eggs, bacon, cold cuts and assorted cheese. Fresh bread and pastries. Fresh fruit, jams, juices, coffee, etc.
Rooms that face the train station will have a side view of the Duomo. It could get a little noisy in the evening but they have double glass windows which really cut the noise out. You will find the rooms on the back side of the hotel a bit quieter.
Across the street is a grocery store in case you are missing any amenities. Just behind the hotel is SITA bus station, where you can take the trip to the mall.
