  1. Hi. We will be in Rome in November. We’ll be staying in the Colosseum B&B hotel near to the Colosseum. Do you have any suggestions for the best and inexpensive way to get to our hotel from the train station Termini? We are a family of six and we don’t wish to split up if possible. Appreciate your advice. Thanks.

    • Hello Tom,
If you’re asking me the cheapest way, I’d suggest you the metro. The Colosseum has a Metro station and from Termini you would take the Metro B towards Laurentina and get off at the second stop. Ask your host how far away the Colosseum Metro stop is from the B&B, or if by any chance there is a bus stop in front of their house! If you decide to take a taxi it will cost you around 15.00 – 20.00 Euros. For every baggage piece they charge 1.00 Euro.

    • I would say around 15 °C in the beginning of November and then it can get a little colder towards the end of the month. The best thing I think you can do is dress in layers so you can quickly adjust to the weather conditions. It usually not a rainy month but even if it does rain, no worries – umbrella vendors are all over when it happens and for around 5.00 Euros you’ll get yourself one!
