Hotel Savoy
Hotel Savoy is a five star hotel located in the historic center of Florence and very close to the Duomo. The location is outstanding. It is within walking distance to literally anywhere you want to go in Florence.
The concierge service provided by Ruggero and Marco will help with any reservation that you need to book. If you want museum tickets, let them get it for you so you can avoid the long queues at the entrance door. The entire staff, including the doorman is truly professional. They are extremely gracious and very polite. They are warm and friendly and they will make you feel like you are returning guests. Nothing is ever a problem and everything they do is done with a smile. They will go out of their way to insure every whim is satisfied.
Rooms are elegant, quiet and clean. Amenities in the room are just right and adequate. The beds and pillows are comfortable. Bathrooms are a decent size and are decorated in the finest Tuscan marble.
There is a small gym in the hotel with a view of the Duomo. One downside to Hotel Savoy is that you have pay for Wi-Fi.
Breakfast buffet is plentiful, everything is fresh and the choices are endless. They offer a wide selection of the usual continental choices.
The restaurant located in the front of Hotel Savoy is one of the best in-house places to eat or just have a drink. The food is delicious and the service is the best. You can sit on the pavement terrace. It is well shaded and a terrific location for watching the activities in the Piazza della Repubblica.
