Hotel Pitti Palace is just steps away from the edge of Ponte Vecchio. It is located very close to the Uffizi Gallery and Pitti Palace Florence. It is only a five to ten minute walk to all the main attractions over Ponte Vecchio and into the city. Restaurants are close by and if shopping is your thing there are plenty of shops.
Hotel Pitti Palace is an excellent 3 star hotel. The concierge desk is accommodating and very welcoming with a seemingly wide range of languages to call upon. They will print off your boarding passes if you ask. They will be happy to give you directions to the tourist hotspots and make dinner reservations for you. In fact, all the staff in the hotel is efficient, friendly and helpful.
Hotel Pitti Palace offers comfort and charm. The rooms are very clean and the well serviced. The bathroom is also very clean, maintained and well equipped.
A lounge located on the first floor is a nice place to relax with the nice addition of a small library of books available to read during your stay. There is free Wi-Fi through out the hotel.
The bar and restaurant, which serves as the breakfast room in the mornings is on the roof top room with terrace. You can enjoy the delicious food they serve and enjoy the superb views of the Uffizi Gallery, Duomo and Giotto Campanile. The continental style breakfast is terrific. They provide a choice of fruit, cereals, yogurt, meat, cheese, rolls, cake, etc. They have plenty of fresh juice and hot coffee; all topped up continuously by the friendly catering staff.
Hotel Pitti Palace al Ponte Vecchio has one elevator. It’s a bit slow and small. It holds one person and their luggage at a time.
If you have a vehicle, there is parking garage less than one block away. It is very convenient for dropping off luggage and then redeem it upon check out.
Hotel Pitti Palace will hold your luggage after check out for no charge. It offers a comfortable sitting area with bathroom available on the first floor as well.
I don't think you can choose a bad room here. Rooms on the higher levels have a better view of the city and are further from street noise. If you want a quiet room ask for high floor at the rear of the hotel, however it doesn’t come with a view.
