Hotel Lungarno

Hotel Lungarno is situated on the south side of the Ponte Vecchio, whereas most of Florence’s historic attractions are located on the north side. This is a 4 star hotel wonderfully located by the Arno River with a stunning evening view of the Ponte Vecchio. It is just a short walk to restaurants, museums, shopping and attractions.

The décor in the lobby and all of the rooms are elegant yet cozy. The lobby is quite comfortable for relaxing. It’s a great place to have a drink and read some of the informative and entertaining books they have sitting around. The bedrooms are immaculate, spacious and beautifully furnished. The bathrooms are a clean and a decent size with nice amenities.

Breakfast and their terrific cappuccinos are a must in the morning. Most rooms come with the cost of breakfast included in the package. Continental breakfast includes sliced cold meats, such as salami and ham, cheese, bread, yogurt, pastries, and cereal. The staff is always very helpful and pleasant.

They also have room service that is very efficient and speedy. Wi-Fi is free, however it can be a bit slow at times. They also have a small gym available for the guests. However if you like to go running there are some beautiful jogging trails close by.

Everyone at the Hotel Lungarno is extremely welcoming and helpful. You will find them to be accommodating with requests, dining recommendations and booking tours. They are very knowledgeable and helpful with places to visit. The rest of staff is just as great. They are very friendly and can speak some English. The service from them is polished, cordial and prompt.

If you decide to book at Hotel Lungarno try to get a room with view of River Arno and Ponte Vecchio. It's gorgeous. The rooms with a view are more expensive of course, however I feel it’s worth it.
