Hotel Villa Franca Positano
Hotel Villa Franca Positano is located on the highest point of the lovely town of Positano. Giving you direct front views to the Mediterranean sea and the mountains behind. Keep in mind, the location of this hotel is not for the faint of heart. As it is a bit far from the beach, and main square of Positano. The hotel does provide free shuttle buses to and from the town center. The walk down to the beach is a little tricky, and a lot of stairs (about 200 steps back and forth). But, Positano is known for its steps, so please plan accordingly.
The staff speak English and are extremely friendly. Very helpful, professional and responsive to all requests and questions. The owner is also on-site regularly tending to every detail with his staff. They work tirelessly to ensure your stay is perfect.
Communal areas are tastefully decorated throughout, with lovely sitting areas to take advantage of the views. Every room (standard, superior and deluxe) has a balcony with a view of the sea or the beautiful Positano. They all come with a satellite TV, minibar, and turndown service. Free Wi-Fi through out the hotel.
The breakfast buffet is well-presented and offers a good variety of food. Sitting near the open windows and looking out over the town as it cascaded below into the ocean, is just wonderful. Wait staff are cordial and professional. They offer gluten free options both at breakfast and in the evening in the restaurant.
The restaurant, Li Galli, prepares delicious seafood. It has excellent service, with the most spectacular views over the bay. Highly recommend dining there at least one time.
The views as I have mentioned are incredible, especially from the pool area. The pool and pool bar are easily accessible. It offers panoramic views of the ocean and the mountains. You can enjoy the menu at the poolside bar on the roof of the hotel.
After a busy day of sightseeing, settle back at this most amazing hotel. You can enjoy the music echoing from down below, while overlooking this beautiful town with lights glowing. The bar staff are excellent, and will make your stay much merrier with their range of delicious cocktails.
Hotel Villa Franca Positano also offers a spa service, which is very nice and relaxing.
Room Tip: Choose a room in the main hotel building, if you want direct access to any of the hotel facilities. They have a separate Annex building.
