Hotel Belair Sorrento
Hotel Belair Sorrento is nestled into the cliff side with views overlooking the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. It's situated on the South side of Sorrento. It's in a convenient location. Just about a ten to fifteen minute walk downhill to the Sorrento shopping and restaurant area. Just think, the walk will keep you fit and also allows you to enjoy the many Italian cuisines with a lot less guilt.
It is along a busy road. Pay attention, as the traffic moves quickly. Alternatively, there is a private footpath down from the hotel. The zigzag stairs that lead to the fishing port can be a challenge, but a fun a quick way down. Be aware that the gate is locked at night, so access back up may be blocked.
Decor is traditional rustic Italian. A Unique upside down hotel with a difference. The fifth floor being the lowest as this hotel. The 1st floor is at the top. Actually, it is one level below floor 0 (European numbering).
Hotel Belair Sorrento offers five different rooms. Some without a balcony. If you wish to have a balcony room, please specify your request during the booking process. The rooms are spotless with fresh clean towels every day. All rooms come with free unlimited Wi-Fi. Satellite LCD TV. With a variety of English speaking channels, perfect for a relaxing break. Breakfast is included, all the while enjoying the absolutely breathtaking view of Mount Vesuvius across the bay. Quite stunning anytime of the day or night. A diverse buffet from cereals, yogurt and fruits. Assorted meats and cheese. Different breads, sweet cakes and pastries. There are several juice selections each day as well. In addition the chef will cook eggs and bacon to order.
They have two swimming pools which are well maintained. There is a large lounge area with its own balcony, which is great to sit and have a cool drink. Towels are provided at a small cost-1 Euro each.
Staff members are extremely friendly and helpful. Professional and knowledgeable. They can help book cabs, and make reservations for local restaurants.
There are many hotels closer to the center. However, none can match the views Hotel Belair Sorrento has to offer. Also, it is above the busy road which makes a big difference especially with the noise from traffic.
Parking is also available on their premises.
Plan early, it is almost fully booked in advance. Definitely choose a room with a balcony, the view of the sea is gorgeous.
