Casa Mariantonia Capri
Casa Mariantonia is one of the first inns that opened in Capri. This hotel started operating during the early 20th century and in 2007, it had a complete renovation. It is a family run hotel. Two brothers and one sister, Paolo, Marcello and Mariangela, who are wonderful hosts. Very friendly and helpful on what to do and see around the beautiful Island. They will arrange reservations for restaurants, and also book trips including a private boat trip around the Island.
Casa Mariantonia Capri has a total of six double rooms and two suites. Although the total number of bedrooms is few, all open out to a large private terrace. From the terrace, guests can admire the view of the swimming pool and enjoy the fresh scent of lemons in the garden. The location is terrific. It's right on the main walking street, but just far enough away to miss all the crazy tourist traffic.
The rooms at Casa Mariantonia are a fusion of the old and the new. The vaulted arches and ceilings represent traditional design. While the modern furniture pieces and sun loungers embody a contemporary style. Suite Punta Carena, which is 55 square meters wide, is the largest room in the hotel. It has a separate living room and bedroom that has a queen-sized bed. Adding a third bed is optional. Next to this room type (in terms of size) is the Junior Suite which has a total area of 35 square meters. Other room types include the Deluxe Room, Superior Room, and Comfort Room which are 25, 23, and 18 square meters, respectively. Each of the rooms has a mini bar and guests are allowed to connect to the Wi-Fi for free.
Casa Mariantonia Capri is home to Limoncello di Capri. This is a sweet, zesty, and flavorful liqueur made from fresh lemons grown in the hotel’s own garden. This beverage, which is one of Capri’s pride, is available at the hotel’s restaurant called La Zagara. Meanwhile in La Zagara, whether you are here for breakfast, lunch or dinner, there is always something surely sumptuous you can feast on. In addition to the swimming pool and the restaurant, this hotel also has a fitness gym that is complete with modern equipment.
A delicious buffet breakfast with plenty of cheese and ham, breads, fruits and pastries. You can order your eggs as you like. The breakfast area is charming, situated in a lemon grove. Just a lovely way to start your day.
