Within easy walking distance of St Marks Square and one building away from the The Doges Palace Venice. And just across the water, is the Guggenheim Museum Venice. Everything that you want to do it only a short distance away. There is a water bus stop is right next door to the hotel. A gondola stop is right outside the hotel, should you so desire.
Gritti Palace Hotel Venice has recently been completely refurbished. They did a wonderful job to retain all off its style and charm, while bringing the hotel into the 21st century in terms of comfort and technology.
The lobby actually has a feeling of walking into a private home. Thanks to the decorations and original artworks featured, including an original painting of Doge Andrea Gritti. He was the Doge of Venice from 1523 through 1538.
Everything in this hotel is quite luxurious. The furnishings, the linens, the artwork and chandeliers. They have 91 rooms and suites to choose from. All rooms are beautifully appointed. Wi-Fi is free and always works, no exceptions. Rooms have US electrical plug so you do not need an adapter.
As soon as you arrive, you feel the warmth of the customer service which is second to none. They go the extra mile to accommodate you and make you feel welcomed. From check in and throughout your stay. Starting with front desk, bar, restaurant, or spa the service really is faultless in being welcoming and helpful at all times. Housekeeping staff can't do enough for you.
Breakfast on the terrace is an amazing experience. Abundant and delicious, standard hot and cold options.
The balcony overlooking The Grand Canal is incredible. Very romantic, especially at night time.
They offer a spa service (Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Spa). They have a fitness facility. Casual dining at Bar Longhi, and a more formal restaurant (Club del Doge Restaurant Venice).
For an additional charge, they offer airport service. The transportation is excellent. Private boat will take you to cab that is waiting for you. A porter who leads you to check-in and skips the long lines.
