Hi. We will be in Rome in November. We’ll be staying in the Colosseum B&B hotel near to the Colosseum. Do you have any suggestions for the best and inexpensive way to get to our hotel from the train station Termini? We are a family of six and we don’t wish to split up if possible. Appreciate your advice. Thanks.
Hello Tom,
If you’re asking me the cheapest way, I’d suggest you the metro. The Colosseum has a Metro station and from Termini you would take the Metro B towards Laurentina and get off at the second stop. Ask your host how far away the Colosseum Metro stop is from the B&B, or if by any chance there is a bus stop in front of their house! If you decide to take a taxi it will cost you around 15.00 – 20.00 Euros. For every baggage piece they charge 1.00 Euro.
What is the average temperature in Rome in November?
I would say around 15 °C in the beginning of November and then it can get a little colder towards the end of the month. The best thing I think you can do is dress in layers so you can quickly adjust to the weather conditions. It usually not a rainy month but even if it does rain, no worries – umbrella vendors are all over when it happens and for around 5.00 Euros you’ll get yourself one!
