Hotel Locarno is a stone throw away from Piazza del Popolo, was famous in the past and it still is in the present. It has and continues to be a stage and retreat for famous film actors, directors, writers, producers and musicians. The well-known director Bernard Weber directed his film "Hotel Locarno" here in 1978.

You can compare it with the Happy Hour, only that the Italian version is more meaningful. It's not about drinking; it's about socializing. It’s where you go after your work, either before going home or before having dinner. Consider going around 7.30 pm, romans have their dinner around 9.00 pm. Your aperitivo – accompanied with some tasty Hors d'œuvre - will be served in the courtyard during the summer and you can smell the flowers even though you’re in the middle of a big, chaotic city. During the winter you’ll be served inside in front of a cozy fireplace! Mainly romans come for the aperitivo except for the few tourists that pass because they are staying in the hotel.
