Villa Lara Hotel Amalfi

Villa Lara Hotel Amalfi is located at one of the upper most points of Amalfi, with an unobstructed view to the sea. Towering majestically over Amalfi on the edge of town, this villa has peace and tranquility in abundance. It's set a little back from the main hustle of the town, yet only minutes walk away from restaurants, shops, the town center and sites of Amalfi. It's also within easy walking distance to the ferries and buses, so you can visit the nearby towns.

It's a walk uphill to reach the villa. There is a choice to take the steps (over 250) or use the elevator that is built in the mountain. The communal areas are bright and airy. They are immaculate and tastefully decorated. With a delightful terrace and a garden patio to enjoy the wonderful views over the rooftops of Amalfi and the lemon groves.

Villa Lara Hotel Amalfi is a small charming hotel, featuring seven different and unique rooms. Simply decorated, modern and and well appointed. All rooms have cable TV, air conditioning and heating, safe, and minibar. Bathrooms come with a tub or shower, and a hairdryer. House keeping does a terrific job cleaning your room every day.

Friendly staff will welcome you and make you feel at home. Helpful at all times, nothing is too much trouble. There is always somebody around to speak to, and everyone speaks very good English. They know the town really well and will book restaurant reservations, and provide information for all your excursions.

Breakfast is enjoyed sitting on the terrace with a panoramic view of surrounding cliffs framing harbor below. It's served buffet style which includes, fresh Italian bread, meats, and cheeses. They also offer cereals, fruit, pastries and homemade lemon cake. Staff wait on you constantly, anticipating when you want coffee, cappuccino, tea or juice.

Parking is available down the road for a charge.

Room Tip: I recommend the attic room, it has a dormer window with spectacular views of the Amalfi and sea.
