Hotel Bristol Sorrento
From a distance, Hotel Bristol Sorrento appears to defy gravity. It is perched on the cliff with the most fabulous views of the Bay of Naples and Sorrento.
It's an easy stroll down into town. Should take about ten minutes to reach the main square, Piazza Tasso Sorrento. With an abundance of great shops, restaurants and bars. However, don't forget that your journey back is a climb up the hill. It may not be suitable for those who have difficulty walking too far.
Hotel Bristol Sorrento has a terrific ambiance about it. Elegant marble floors, beautiful ornaments in the corridors and communal areas. And the hotel staff are just amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. From the reception staff, to housekeeping, restaurant and bar. Always polite, respectful and nothing is ever too much trouble.
Rooms are well thought out with modern quality furnishings. Standard rooms are spacious. Junior suites are marvelous. Villa Bianca is romantic, very good value for money. Most of the rooms offer a sea view. The room are cleaned daily to a very high standard. Clean sheets and towels provided daily. All are rooms are equipped with air conditioning. Satellite TV. Mini bar, a small safe and a hair dryer. There is free Wi-Fi. There are USB sockets and UK plugs in the wall.
The restaurant inside the hotel is excellent. They serve delicious authentic Italian. The wait staff are attentive and respectful of wishes. Combined with the spectacular views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius, it is just fantastic.
Breakfast consists of a large selection of breads and pastries. Fresh fruit, juices, yogurts, etc. Also some hot items. You can also order additional items from the a la carte menu.
The rooftop lounge area is great place to relax and enjoy the fabulous views of Sorrento. While you are up there, treat your self to a nice glass of chilled wine. It doesn't get much better than that! Pool area also has plenty of sun loungers (sunbed) to go around, so catching some rays should not be a problem. You can also enjoy snacks and cold drinks from the pool bar.
Take the the time to visit the terraced gardens above Hotel Bristol Sorrento, enjoy the view and peaceful stroll among the olive groves.
Room Tip: If possible, try to request a room on the 2nd floor or higher. There are no balconies on the 1st floor, and a balcony is a must.
