Historic Center of Florence

Historic Center of Florence is an open museum. It is where the buildings, the streets and the piazzas all tell a story.

Historic Center of Florence is the heart of the city. On any given day you will see many tourists from all over the world walking around soaking in this beautiful city. Historic Center of Florence is located near Florence’s train and bus stations. From this famous center you can see the main attractions like the Uffizi Gallery, the Piazzale Michelangelo and Piazza della Signoria Florence. You will also see The Ponte Vecchio; a bridge erected during Roman times. The architecture is jaw dropping. Other popular attractions include Pitti Palace Florence
and the Church Santa Croce. You can also walk over to visit the Dante House and the see the spectacular iconic Duomo.

Historic Center of Florence offers many traditional Italian restaurants, gelato and bakeries. There are plenty of places to buy souvenir, jewelry and hand-made leatherware.

You will have great time walking around in the streets of Florence. In the early morning, mid afternoon or nighttime, it is simply beautiful at any time of the day. The views are stunning. Just remember to take some nice photos there. The mostly cobblestone streets add charm. Most buildings are very old and you may think transferred back in time. Take your time and wander around on the narrow streets of the center and take in the beauty and the history of Florence.

If you wish you can also see the Historic Center of Florence in one of the charming horse and carriages. If you are walking make sure you head down Via de Tornabuoni. It is a pedestrian street without cars. It is very clean and it has many designer stores.

Historic Center of Florence is a very special place to me. The sheer history of this place is overwhelming. I will hopefully go back to see this historic center within a couple of years. I recommend going because there is so much to see at the Historic Center of Florence. It’s a great place to learn about the city and to taste authentic Florence cuisine.
