Bougainville Hotel Positano

Bougainville Hotel Positano is located in the heart of the town, making it very easy to get around while discovering this amazing village. It's just steps from the interior one-way road that leads to the majority of the shops and restaurants of Positano. It's also a short walk down the pedestrian-only path to the beach and the harbor, where you catch the next ferry out to Capri. And the bus stop to take you around is just across the street.

Bougainville Hotel Positano offers sixteen rooms. Rooms are clean and quiet. The economy room has a high placement window with views of the garden. Standard room come with a large windows. Superior room include a balcony overlooking the sea. All Rooms come with a satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. They also have air conditioning and heating, a safe, and a mini bar. Bathrooms are provided with a shower, hairdryer and nice bag of toiletries.

The 24 hour staff at front desk is ready to assist you with any questions. The staff is warm and welcoming. They are extremely helpful with dinner reservations, travel advice, ferry and bus schedules, etc. And they all speak excellent English.

There is no real communal area in the hotel, other than reception and the breakfast room (no restaurant or pool). Colors are brilliant, rooms feel open and airy and the cleanliness is great.

The breakfast room is lovely and has a magnificent view. Plenty of selections for breakfast (both sweet and savory). With a kind and friendly server that offers fresh coffee and cappuccino. Gluten free upon request.

If you have a car, you can get to the hotel directly, which is handy when dealing with large luggage. Car parking is conveniently located across the street from the hotel (additional charge). The only hurdle is the steep climb up to the lobby. Then followed by the walk up (no elevator for people) to the rooms.
